The job duties for this position include the promotion of quality school health nursing services and comprehensive school health programming by the provision of consultation and technical assistance to local school nurses, public health nurses, school administrators and others; the provision of staff development, continuing education and training through annual new school nurse orientation conferences and state-wide school nurse updates; serving as agency liaison and resource expert in school nursing and school health programs for local, regional, state and national groups involved with school health policies and services; and coordinating research and preparing technical and other reports as needed.

The qualifications for this position include: the candidate must have current, valid license to practice professional nursing as Registered Nurse (i.e., R.N.) in Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing pursuant to Section 4723.03 of Revised Code and certification/licensure in Ohio as a school nurse issued by the Ohio Department of Education.
