PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE COORDINATOR

Nurse Coordinator position available with the School Nurse Program, Division of Disease Prevention. Responsibilities include performing an active role in the maintenance and improvement for the health of the children in the school setting in Montgomery County.  Responsibilities include supervising, orienting, evaluating and assigning work for staff nurses as well as providing direct school nursing services to several schools.  Annually plans and presents educational programs and screening procedures in identified schools.  Maintains good rapport with area school administrators and obtains annual contracts for PHN services.  May be required to play an active role in the event of a public health emergency, which may include changes in responsibilities and working hours.
 
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field; 2-3 years of relevant experience; current valid licensure from state of Ohio to practice as a registered nurse, current valid Ohio driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle; School Nurse Licensure is required.

Position subject to Criminal Background Check.

Hours:   8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday.

YMCA Camp Willson, in Bellefontaine, OH, is currently looking for a Registered Nurse for our Resident Summer Camp program. At YMCA Camp Willson we provide an enriching environment where kids can be themselves. Help us change lives for the better this summer. The position lasts 2 - 8 weeks depending on your schedule. Compensation includes: $400/week + room and board, and free camp for children. Responsibilities include: Medication distribution, helping campers with minor injuries and illness, contacting parents, keeping logs, and acting as a first responder.
