The 10th Edition of The Guide to School Nursing in Ohio The Guide to School Nursing in Ohio is presented by the Ohio Association of School Nurses. This is a collaborative effort of many individuals with a vested interest in nursing services in our Ohio schools. CONGRATULATIONS Peggy Sutton BS, RN, LSN 2017 Ohio School Nurse of the Year!   Peggy has been a Licensed School Nurse for twenty-one years, primarily in Mansfield City Schools. She also has served as supervisor of the Richland County Public health where she supervised a staff of 21 public health nurses in fourteen county schools, as well as, managed the BCMH program for the county. The Winter 2017 issue from the Ohio Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics focuses on Vocal Cord Dysfunction (VCD). VCD occurs when the vocal cords fail to move with correct motion during breathing. Sometimes it is mistaken for asthma. VCD can affect all ages but is common in adolescent and young women.
