"I am truly honored and humbled to receive this award.  My entire career has been dedicated to children and I have found my passion in school nursing.  Supporting children in the school setting while they also manage chronic health conditions, advocating for children so they get the education they deserve, watching students overcome obstacles and succeed, and influencing policy to allow students to not only be safe, but to thrive have been the most rewarding aspects of my career.  I am honored to have made an impact in the lives of the children and families I have served."

Heidi was recognized and received her award at the Annual Ohio Association of School Nurses’ conference on March 14, 2025  in Columbus, Ohio.
